Founded in 1972 as a group of local Lutheran churches’ response to the need for senior care in the area, the Lutheran Home still carries out this mission more than 45 years later. On approximately 37 acres within Cape city limits, the home is one of the most well-established, largest not-for-profit facilities offering skilled care at an affordable price in the Southeast Missouri region. With 440 employees and approximately 200 residents, thee Lutheran Home has one of the highest staff-to-patient ratios in the area, ensuring all residents receive a personal, home-like environment to live in with compassionate Christian care.
In addition, Saxony Village Retirement Community is celebrating 25 years of helping retirees live the life they’ve worked for. Retirees who are a part of this community enjoy apartments and duplexes with the amenities of a private fitness center, exercise pool, dog park and more, along with the benefits that come with communal living. The Village provides residents with comfort, security, friendship and opportunities for an active lifestyle.
It’s a carefree lifestyle that makes many Saxony Village residents say, “I wish I would have made the move sooner.”
