One of the innovative programs recently started at Notre Dame is Dog Fight, the school's version of Shark Tank, in which business law students face head-on a panel of experts at a local bank boardroom, gaining valuable real-life experience.

Service-learning opportunities such as mission trips and service days are available, as well. One of these opportunities is an annual service trip through the Franciscan Volunteer program, a cooperative effort with two Catholic high schools in New York. Through this program, students engage in various service projects in Cape Girardeau and/or New York for seven days, working in soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters.

Opportunities like these shape Notre Dame students into educated, well-rounded, caring people with an interest in seeking out ways to positively impact their community.
