PERSONNEL: ACCOUNTANT EARNS CEP DESIGNATION

Holly A. Thomas, CPA with Schott & Van de Ven Certified Public Accountants, recently earned the professional designation of certified specialist in estate planning (CEP). This designation was awarded by The National Institute for Excellence in Professional Education, LLC, in conjunction with the Missouri Society of CPAs and Surgent and Associates, LLC.

To earn the designation, Thomas was required to complete eight courses. At the completion of each course, Thomas had to pass a rigorous timed exam. The CSEP program is designed to promote professional competence in estate planning and trust taxation.

Thomas graduated summa cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University and is a professional member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
