Gary Lasater of Sikeston has joined Ford & Sons at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Lasater will be family service counselor, selling pre-need funeral and cemetery property.
Lasater previously worked with Ben's Clothing Store in Sikeston.
Gene Parkhurst has joined Mid-America Teen Challenge in a newly created position of business manager.
Parkhurst was involved in the business credit field the past 15 years, with his most recent position that of credit manager for Hendrix Wire & Cable in New Hampshire. He was also president of the New Hampshire Chapter of the National Association of Credit Managers.
He is a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. He also took courses at Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Wenham, Maine, and was working on an MBA at New Hampshire College.
He has served as a youth pastor and pastor for various churches in Illinois, Ohio, Maine, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
N. Dale Biegel has joined Graphic Packaging Corporation (GPC) as plant director at the firm's packaging plant in Paoli, Pa.
He joins GPC following a 15-year career with Procter & Gamble, most recently as customer service operations manager at the Cape Girardeau P&G operation.
Biegel is a graduate of Syracuse University, with a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering.
GPC produces cartons and flexible packaging for such customers as P&G, Ralston Purina, Coors, Dial, Jergens and Colgate-Palmolive.
John R. Dowdy of Specialized Office Services Inc. recently attended two seminars in Chicago.
Dowdy attended the Solex Printing Supplies Seminar, which emphasized product training and safety of equipment in the printing process. Earlier, he attended the North American Graphic Expos, which features new products and printing equipment.

Kenneth G. Mehrle, president of Medical Arts Pharmacy for 32 years, has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Alumni Association.
Mehrle of Cape Girardeau, a 1948 graduate of the college, has served on numerous committees, foundations and boards of the college. He has also served as president of the Missouri Pharmacy Association, National Association of Retail Druggists (NARD), Missouri Board of Pharmacy and the Cape Girardeau County Pharmacists Association.
He is currently president of the NARD Foundation and director of the Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Companies.
Mehrle served on the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Board of Trustees for 15 years. A scholarship will be awarded in Mehrle's honor during the 1994-95 academic year.
Richard A. Liddy, president and chief executive officer of General American Life Insurance Co., headquartered at St. Louis, has been named to the Union Electric Company's board of directors.
William E. Cornelius, UE chairman and chief executive officer, announced Liddy's appointment last week.
