JACKSON -- Dr. Edward Anderson has joined the Jackson Podiatric Medical Center, 502-B W. Main.

Anderson, a native of Warsaw, Ind., is a graduate of Taylor University at Upland, Ind., with a bachelor of arts degree in biology. He graduated from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 1989.

He served a one-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ind., and was engaged in private practice in Henderson, Ky., before becoming chief of podiatric services at the VA center in Evansville.

Randy Ressel has been named regional sales manager of the Southeast Missouri region for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri.

Ressel, who joined the company in August 1987, is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Ressel will oversee a staff of seven sales associates in 28 counties, including Cape Girardeau, Scott, Stoddard, Bollinger, Perry and Ste. Genevieve.

CAIRO, Ill. Vanassa D. Thomas of Cairo has joined the TIP branch office at Cairo as operations manager.

Thomas has four years experience in the medical and office fields. She previously worked for Alexander County General Assistance and the Cairo Police Department.

She attended Shawnee College at Ullin, receiving an associate's degree in social service technology. She is pursuing a degree in business administration.

TIP, a Medicare-certified home health agency headquartered at Anna, serves the lower 18 Southern Illinois counties, providing skilled nursing, home health aid, and physical and speech therapy services in the home. The Cairo TIP branch provides service in Alexander and Pulaski counties.

JACKSON Stephen Grebing of Jackson recently attended an Aid Association of Lutherans national sales and education conference at Lincolnshire, Ill.

Grebing is an associate of the Jack Hollingsworth Agency of AAL, Independence.

AAL, a fraternal benefit society based in Appleton, Wis., provides Lutherans and their families with life insurance, disability income insurance and retirement products.

CAIRO, Ill. The Birth-To-3 program staff of Delta Center Inc., 1001 Washington Avenue here, recently attended a conference on drug-affected children at Fairview Heights, Ill.

Attending from the Delta Center were Brian Campbell, parent liaison; Denise Czuba, child developmental specialist; Donna Goins, developmental service provider for Massac, Pope and Hardin counties; Wanda Wells, developmental service provider for Alexander and Pulaski counties; and Kim Williams-Dunbar, development service provider for Union and Johnson counties.

Topics included characteristics of children prenatally exposed to drugs and strategies for intervention and educational programming.

JACKSON Pat Parsons of Jackson, Tuppeware executive manager with United Party Sales, Scott City, was recently honored for being among the top 100 units in the nation in sales and recruiting during the second quarter.

She was recognized during a special luncheon at Kansas City.

Consultants from Parsons' unit who were honored as executive managers during the second quarter were Verla Oldham of Oak Ridge, Shelly Wolfe of Poplar Bluff and Kathy McKinney of Cape Girardeau.
