Paul Hahn, prosecuting attorney of Bollinger County, will join the law firm of Lichtenegger, Payne & Weiss, effective Jan. 1.
Hahn, whose term expires in Bollinger County this year, did not file for re-election.
The firm of Lichtenegger, Payne & Weiss, 1210 Greenway Drive, Jackson, will open a branch office in Marble Hill.
Hahn was elected prosecuting attorney in Bollinger County in November of 1986, and was re-elected in 1990. He has also maintained a civil practice since 1987. Prior to that, he was an associate attorney at a Cape Girardeau law firm engaged in general practice.
He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He was a member of the Order of the Coif, and served as associate editor-in-chief of the Missouri Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from UMC, cum laude, in accounting.
Lichtenegger, Payne & Weiss is a full service law firm providing a complete catalog of legal services to individual, public and private companies. John Lichtenegger, Richmond A. Payne, Chris N. Weiss and Scott Fetterhoff are the attorney partners of the firm, which employs seven legal assistants and secretaries.
Michele Tomlinson of Cape Girardeau has joined Boatmen's Bank as assistant vice president in the real estate department.
She will serve the bank as a real estate lender at Boatmen's main Cape Girardeau facility, 2001 William.
Tomlinson, who attended Southeast Missouri State University, has completed courses at the American Bankers Association National Consumer Credit School. She has more than 11 years of banking experience as a lender/manager in all types of loan activities.
She is member of the Home Builders Association and the Cape County Board of Realtors.
Tony Buehrle of Cape Girardeau has been promoted to the position of military sales manager at Supervalu Co., Scott City Division.
Buehrle joined Supervalu more than four years ago as a grocery buyer/merchandiser.
Marylene Elliott, special projects coordinator at the Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center, 1025 N. Sprigg in Cape Girardeau, has been named "Employee of tahe Year."
Elliott joined Cottonwood in 1987 as a cottage supervisor.
In addition to now serving as special projects coordinator, she serves as head of the Volunteer Department, Quality Assurance and Staff Development. She also serves on the Executive Committee, Safety Committee and Board of Inquiry.
The employee of the year is selected by the center's staff.
Lisa Noe, Southeast Missouri State University educational counselor, will speak at the Girardot Chapter, Professional Secretaries International meeting Tuesday.
Noe serves as educational counselor for the Educational Talent Search program, housed at the Bootheel Education Center in Malden.
New officers will also be installed at the meeting. They are Donna Riley, president; Betty Sargent, vice president; Kathy Raines, recording secretary; Marcia Stone, corresponding secretary; and Carolyn Barks, treasurer.
J. Derieck Hodges of Albrecht/Hodges Insurance Agency has completed the Certified Insurance Counselors Commercial Property Institute, held at Springfield, Mo.
The three-day insurance institute is one of five parts of the Certified Insurance Counselors programs provided annually by the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Missouri. After completion of all five seminars, Hodges will receive the CIC designation.
Hodges is also completing course work for the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
Ken Kiefer, James Cox and Ron Honaker, agents with ERA Cape Realty, 2121 Broadway, Cape Girardeau, have completed requirements of the ERA Top Gun Academy, an advanced training course.
The eight-day course, held one day a week for eight weeks, is designed to help sales associates be more productive in their markets.
Charles T. Thiele, assistant vice president at Capital Bank of Cape Girardeau, is among 248 bankers who graduated recently from the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.
The three-year program, which includes campus and home study, provides courses covering all aspects of banking, economics and related subjects.
Dr. Zenon M. Duda, a Cape Girardeau podiatric physician, attended the Florida Podiatric Medical Association annual meeting recently at Amelia Island, Fla.
More than 45 exhibitors demonstrated the latest technology and equipment available for podiatric physicians. A number of sessions on latest techniques and procedures for treatment of foot disorders were held during the four-day meeting.
Duda's practice is at 35 Doctors' Park. He is board certified in both foot surgery and foot orthopedics.
