Joel Vinson of Sikeston has joined the Southeast Missourian's Targeted Publications division as advertorial editor.
In his new position, Vinson edits monthly publications such as TBY-The Best Years, Business Today, Home Buyers Guide and other special publications produced throughout the year.
Vinson is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in journalism. He worked two years as staff writer and photographer at the Daily Statesman newspaper at Dexter.
The Rush Limbaugh radio talk show is being added to KMOX Radio in St. Louis.
Limbaugh's show is the first syndicated show on KMOX to occupy a prime daytime spot -- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- since the early 1970s, when Arthur Godfrey was still on the air.
The Limbaugh radio show is carried on 620 stations. His television show is carried on 249 stations. Limbaugh is a native of Cape Girardeau.
Lou Peukert and Carl Dunlap have joined the Southeast Missourian news department.
Peukert, who joined the staff in December, is a native of Cape Girardeau and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked for the Missourian part-time while attending the university.
For the past year and a half, he has been employed by the Manhattan Mercury newspaper in Kansas.
Dunlap, of Perryville, joins the staff as a news paginator. He had earlier worked at the Missourian as a graphic designer.
Anne Lang of Bloomington, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, has been promoted to data processing specialist III in the office services division of the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.'s data processing center in Bloomington.
Lang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Lang of Cape Girardeau, is a graduate of Cape Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
Lang joined State Farm in 1992.
Linda Wiggs of the administrative services department at Southeast Missouri State University will be guest speaker at the Tuesday meeting of the Girardot Chapter of Professional Secretaries International. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Drury Lodge.
Wiggs will discuss future changes in technology in international affairs that will concern office support personnel.

Dr. Robert Kessinger, a Cape Girardeau specific chiropractor, was guest speaker at Life College of Chiropractic in Atlanta, Ga. recently.
Kessinger, a Kale-certified instructor in the upper cervical specific, practices at 1424 Kurre Lane. He was invited by the Kale Upper Cervical Specific Club to the Georgia meeting, where he presented sessions on the X-ray analysis of the upper cervical spine.
Carol Goodman, administrator of Union County Hospital District in Anna, Ill., has been elected president of the Anna-Jonesboro Area Chamber of Commerce.
She is vice president of Union County Economic Development Corp., chairperson of Union County Unit of the American Cancer Society, and treasurer of the Illinois Association Region V Administrators.
Karen McElreath and Debbie Birk have joined Super Styles & Tan at 502D N. West Main in Jackson as hair stylists.
McElreath, of Burfordville, formerly of St. Louis, has 13 years experience in hair styling, cuts, perms, and other beauty services. She is also nail technician and serves as an educator for a nail products company. She is a graduate of Ferguson Beauty School in St. Louis.
Birk, of Gordonville, has more than eight years experience in the hair-care business. She is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School in Cape Girardeau.
