Lonnie Mobley of Cape Girardeau has been certified to fit Mirage, an ultra-small hearing instrument that fits completely in the ear canal.

Mobley, a hearing aid specialist with Miracle-Ear, 1465 N. Kingshighway, recently completed a Miracle-Ear sponsored training program and competency examination to receive certification.

The training, at Miracle-Ear headquarters in Golden Valley, Minn., required 20 hours of classroom instruction and examination.

Mobley is a Missouri State Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Cheryl Mabuce and Peggy Landewee have been appointed senior vice presidents at Capital Bank.

Bank officials announced six promotions recently. Other promotions include Willard Hubbard and Charles Thiele, to vice presidents; Travis Ward, loan officer; and Diane Birk, mortgage servicing officer.

Capital Bank is an affiliate of Capital Bancorporation, a multi-bank holding company headquartered in Cape Girardeau. The company operates at 31 sites through six subsidiary banks in Missouri.

Darryl Duvall has been named manager at Lowe's Home Center, 3440 Lowe's Drive.

Duvall, a native of Albany, Ky., has been with Lowe's 13 years.

He comes to Cape Girardeau from Champaign, Ill., and previously served as operations manager of a large Lowe's Home Center at Decatur, Ill.

Duvall succeeds Jim Lund as manager. Lund has transferred with the company to Peoria, Ill.

Mary Jane Sauer of Jackson has been promoted to pro shop manager at Bent Creek Golf Course at Jackson.

Sauer will be responsible for facets of the pro shop operation.

Sauer, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, joined Bent Creek in March.

Bent Creek Golf Course is a championship, 18-hole, public golf course.

Jane Junkermann of Olmsted, Ill., assistant branch manager of the Olive Branch Tip of Illinois Health Services Inc. office, recently attended two workshops -- "Dealing with Conflict and Confrontation" and "Implementing Self-Directed Teams."

The workshops, sponsored by CareerTrack, were held in Florida.

Junkerman was also named by Tip as "Outstanding Employee of the Year." Tip provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, home health aid and hospice services.

Alan Sellers has been promoted to business manager at the Jackson branch of Ford Groves Motor Co., 825 E. Highway 61.

In addition to his new duties, Sellers will still be available to assist customers in the purchase or lease of a new or used vehicle.

Sellers of Jackson rejoined Ford Groves in 1993.

Jane Harte, manager of AAA Travel Agency, 1903 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, recently attended a "Seminar at Sea," sponsored by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

The seminar was held aboard the Nordic Empress, for AAA travel agency managers from Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.
