Darryl Duvall has been named store manager at Lowe's Home Center, 3440 Lowe's Drive.
Duvall, a native of Albany, Ky., has been with Lowe's 13 years.
He comes to Cape Girardeau from Champaign, Ill., and previously served as manager of a large Lowe's Home Center at Decatur, Ill.
Duvall succeeds Jim Lund as manager. Lund has transferred with the company to Peoria, Ill.
Denise Stewart of Cape Girardeau has been named executive director of the Otahki Girl Scout Council, headquartered at 1433 Kurre Lane.
Stewart has been associated with Otahki Council for nine years as director of adult development, camping services and properties.
The Otahki Girl Scout Council serves a membership of 3,482 in an 11-county area.
Kim G. Swartz has been named executive director of the Community Counseling Center Foundation.
She will also serve as marketing specialist at the center, at 402 S. Silver Springs Road.
As foundation executive director, she will assist the foundation board in formulating and carrying out goals for fund raising and community awareness at the center.
The center serves residents in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Perry, Ste. Genevieve and Madison counties.
Carolyn Kempf and Mary Scholl of Elite Travel Inc., 354 S. Silver Springs Road, recently attended the Motivation Show at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The show featured displays from around the world, with a focus on incentive travel. Kempf and Scholl specialized in planning corporate and group meetings at Elite Travel.
D. Joseph McKeon, agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, has attended the National Conference of Life Underwriters Association, at San Antonio.
Discussions were held on estate planning and business and pension planning.
McKeon serves as Region II vice president for the Missouri Association of Life Underwriters.
Charles A. Groh of Jackson has earned the title of Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC).
Groh recently completed the Fraternal Field Managers' Association sales training program and three examinations under the Research & Review Service of America, based in Indianapolis, to earn the FIC designation.
Groh is an associate of the Jack Hollingsworth Agency of Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) of Independence. He works out of the AAL District Office, 1210 Greenway Drive, Suite 10-0, Jackson.
Myrt Goodman, a Tennessee native, has joined Rust & Martin, 2502 Tanner Drive, as an interior designer.
Goodman, a graduate of Memphis State University, studied in Europe and received her Euro Design degree. She has 24 years experience in interior design.
She has lived in Sedona, Ariz. the past six years.
Joe Craig of Dexter was recently honored by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
Craig, owner of Joe Craig Photography and founder of Joe Craig Learning Systems, received a "Directors' Award" in recognition of outstanding service to professional photography.
A member of PPA, Craig originated the concept for "Super Monday," a successful fund-raiser for PPA. Craig has conducted seminars in the United States, Canada and Australia. He is a member of the American Society of Photographers.
Birdie Rader of Century 21 Key Realty has received the Centurion Award for 1994, her sixth year to receive that honor.
The Centurion Award is one of the highest levels of recognition awarded to top-producing, top-servicing sales associate in the Century 21 system.
Rader is number one in the Missouri Region and No. 11 out of 7,435 sales associates in Division 160 for gross closed sales. She is the only Missourian to reach that level. Region 160 includes seven states.
Rader is also the only Missourian who has been inducted into the Century 21 Hall of Fame.
Thomas Fetzer Clark, lead artist with Cairn Studio, will appear at Tobacco Lane in West Park Mall Saturday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Clark will be working on new clay sculptures to demonstrate his art. He will also be signing art purchased that day. He will sign up to two pieces of art that collectors bring into the shop.
Clark's sculptures of gnomes, folk heroes and other pieces of art are collected worldwides.
