H. Sean Williams, a new specialist at Beltone Hearing Center, 68 Doctors' Park in Cape Girardeau, recently attended the Beltone Basic School in Chicago.

The five-day seminar included discussions on a numbers of topics, including audiogram interpretation, hearing disorders, hearing aid circuitry, sound field verification and real ear measurement.

Williams recently joined the Beltone center here, which is owned by his mother, Sharon Williams.

CAIRO, Ill. -- Warren "Buddy" Mitchell has received an award of appreciation from the Cairo Jaycees for outstanding and unselfish service to the Jaycee chapter.

Mitchell conducted a fund-raiser for the Jaycees.

Mitchell is Alexander County Sheriff.

Ken LaFoon, a hair stylist for Graham Webb, recently conducted a hands-on, in-shop seminar at Gary & Co. Salon, 1017 Harmony, in Cape Girardeau.

LaFoon, a Graham Webb artist, presented the latest techniques in block cutting.

Attending the one-day workshop were Gary Stroder, Amy Stroder, Patty Cook, Brenda Grass, Jean Kitchen, Nikki Bradley, Shauna Brenneke and Mary Grogan, operators at Gary & Co., a Graham Webb salon.

Jim Gosche of Cape Girardeau and Connie Ferrell of East Prairie have received promotions at First Financial Bank, headquartered in Sikeston.

Gosche, recently appointed to senior vice president, joined the bank in February 1992. He operates the Oran First Financial facility, which serves Oran and surrounding area.

Ferrell, who was promoted to assistant vice president, joined First Financial in 1986. She works in the agriculture lending department of the Sikeston facility.

First Financial has facilities at Oran, Sikeston, Scott City, Matthews, Benton and New Madrid.

Rich Harper has joined Cape Toyota-Suzuki, 835 S. Kingshighway, as service manager.

Harper, previously of Granite City, Ill., has more than 20 years experience in the auto industry.

Danny Carter of Cape Girardeau has been named new service manager at Campus Auto & Tire Sales, 1404 Independence.

Carter, a native of Bloomfield, previously worked with Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. in Cape Girardeau.

Dennis Miller has been appointed new service manager at Auffenberg Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge-Jeep Eagle, 611 S. Kingshighway.

Miller of Jackson has about 15 years experience in the auto industry.

He previously worked with Chris Auffenberg Chevrolet in the St. Louis area.

Jay Carroll, a 1989 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, has been named "outstanding security police officer company grade officer of the year" by the Air Force in the Pacific.

Capt. Carroll, formerly of Cape Girardeau, now eligible for the honor of "outstanding security police officer company grade officer" by the Air Force.

Carroll, who entered active duty Jan. 4, 1990, currently is operations officer of the Eighth Security Police Squadron at Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. He leads a squadron of more than 300 law enforcement, security and base defense forces.

Carroll was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1989 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Southeast Missouri State University.

Dr. Robert C. Kessinger of Kessinger Specific Chiropractic of Cape Girardeau has been selected for inclusion in the 1995-96 edition of "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals."

Fred Neal, vice president of the Missouri Association of Realtors, will be guest speaker at a meeting of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors March 28.

Neal's topic will be "Safety is Serious."

The noon meeting will be held at Drury Lodge.
