Doris Dreyer Gerecke has joined Town & Country Realty, 1558 Independence, in Cape Girardeau as a sales associate.

Gerecke was previously employed with the U.S. Army in Frankfurt, Germany, where her husband, Harold, was working with the U.S. Department of Defense Contract Administration.

Her husband's career offered many travel opportunities. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Germany, Japan, Europe, Russia, Poland, Hungary and Czeckoslavakia.

Diana B. Moreland has joined Tip of Illinois Health Services Inc. at the Olive Branch office, as a physical therapist assistant.

Moreland, who has an associate's degree in applied science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, is licensed as a physical therapist assistant in Illinois.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and an affiliate member of the Missouri Physical Therapy Association.

Before joining Tip, she was employed at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Tip, headquartered at Carterville, provides home health services in the lower 25 counties of Illinois, including Olive Branch, which serves part of Alexander and Pulaski counties.

Kay Hammond of Cape Girardeau recently completed the "Certified Hardware Expert" course conducted by the Home Center Institute, a trade organization that produces training materials for hard goods retailers.

Hammond is employed at Orscheln Farm & Home Center.

The advanced course in hardware retailing is a 16-section correspondence course which takes approximately six months to complete.

Capital Bancorporation Inc. has announced two promotions.

Marcia Schwab has been promoted to vice president at Capital Bank and David Mitchell has been promoted to assistant vice president in the bank's information systems department.

Schwab joined Capital in 1972. She is the check processing manager in the data processing center. She is a graduate of Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University.

Mitchell joined Capital in 1991 as a computer technician. He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.

Capital Bancorporation is a multi-bank holding company headquartered in Cape Girardeau. The company operates at 31 sites through six subsidiary banks in Missouri.

Herb and Thelma Annis of Century 21 Ashland Realty have received the Centurion Award for exceptional sales production by the realty firm.

Century 21 Ashland, 105 S. Broadview in Cape Girardeau, was one of the top producing offices in the Century 21 system, which includes about 6,000 offices. Less than 9 percent of the offices are honored with the Centurion designation.

Century 21 Real Estate Corp. is a subsidiary of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and has offices in 15 countries, including the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, France, the United Kingdom and Belgium.

Kenneth E. Volkerding of Jackson was recently honored by Lutheran Brotherhood, a fraternal benefit society that offers financial products and services to Lutherans.

Volkerding, who is associated with Lutheran Brotherhood's Harlan Pals Agency in St. Charles, was honored for sales performance.

Charles Kruse, a Dexter farmer and president of the Missouri Farm Bureau, has been elected as a new member of the American Farm Bureau Board of Directors.

Kruse was named to the board during the 76th annual American Farm Bureau meeting at St. Louis.

Ray Yager and Anne Poston have joined Dana Corp.'s Spicer Axle Division at the Cape Girardeau facility.

Yager, who joined Dana in 1967 as a machine operation at Fort Wayne, Ind., is the new manufacturing coordinator at the Cape Girardeau facility.

Yager, a Dana certified supervisor, has completed the Dana Manufacturing Technology program at Oakland Community College, Auburn Hill, Mich.

He comes to Cape Girardeau from Fort Wayne, where he served as process engineer in the gear division.

Poston, who started her career with Dana in the human resource department of the Plymouth, Minn., facility, is new human resource manager at the Cape Girardeau plant.

Poston, a graduate of College of St. Benedict with a bachelor of arts degree, is a Dana certified supervisor and certified human resource manager. She comes to Cape Girardeau from Chelsea, Mich., where she served as resource manager in the Dana drivetrain service division.

Dianne Caldwell and Melissa Heath have received promotions at Cape Girardeau Complete Health Care, 1707 Mount Auburn Road.

Caldwell, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and gerontology, has been promoted to case manager and will be responsible for management of the agency's division of aging contract and private duty department.

Heath, a CNA, has been promoted to case manager and will be responsible for management of services to the in-home clients.

The local Complete Health Care office covers Cape Girardeau, Perry, Scott and Bollinger counties.

Lisa Dunaway of Gulliver's Travel Agency Inc., 2424 Kingsway Drive in Cape Girardeau, recently participated in a four-day educational travel trip sponsored by MLT Vacations.

Dunaway participated in site inspections of 17 properties in the Las Vegas area, including MGM, the world's largest hotel-casino; Hard Rock Hotel, the world's first rock 'n' roll hotel; and the $25 million monorail system that will operate between the MGM Hotel and Bally's Casino.

Larry Hall and John Foley have been promoted to vice president in the commercial lending department at Boatmen's Bank.

Hall of Jackson serves as commercial lending officer at Boatmen's main Jackson bank, at 101 Court St. He joined Boatmen's in 1992.

Hall is graduate of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro and the Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma. He previously worked for Jackson Exchange Bank, Farm Credit Bank of St. Louis and First National Bank of Sikeston.

Foley has worked five years as commercial lending officer at Boatmen's on William Street in Cape Girardeau. He joined Boatmen's Bancshares in 1989 as a loan review officer.

Foley of Cape Girardeau previously worked at Mark Twain Bank, and Landmark Bank. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University at Charleston with a degree in finance.
