Michelle Herter has joined Ameritech Cellular, 500 N. Kingshighway, in Cape Girardeau, as a direct sales account executive.
Herter of Cape Girardeau will be responsible for providing cellular telephone services in the Cape Girardeau, Sikeston and Poplar Bluff areas.
Herter, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in mass communications with emphasis on public relations, previously worked as a jewelry sales clerk for Crosnoe Gold and Silver in Cape Girardeau.
Troy L. Wilson, CEO of First National Bank at Sikeston, has been selected to participate in the White House Conference on Small Business.
"I feel this is a great honor not only for myself, but for the community as a whole," said Wilson, who will attend the five-day conference June 11 through 15 in Washington. "The conference is an opportunity for America's small business community to make its views known to the Clinton Administration and Congress."
The conference will feature daily issue sessions and official White House functions.
Nancy Williams has retired as executive director of the East Missouri Action Agency.
Williams has watched the Park Hills-based agency grow from a few people and three counties to more than 180 employees in eight counties, including Cape Girardeau County.
Other counties served by the agency are Iron, Washington, St. Francois, Bollinger, Madison, Ste. Genevieve and Perry.
Williams of Bonne Terre served 10 years as executive director and established outreach offices in all eight counties.
The agency's programs include Headstart, nutrition for the elderly, Neighborhood Youth Corp., community service centers, housing assistance, family planning and job training.
Loine Penny, sales associate with Century 21 Ashland Realty Co., 105 S. Broadview, has earned the professional designation of Century 21 VIP Specialist.
Penny received the designation following completion of a series of development courses through the Century 21 training program.
The VIP Specialist qualifies real estate agents to provide clients with specialized referral services throughout the Century 21 system.
Dr. Robert Kessinger, a specific chiropractor with offices at 1424 Kurre Lane in Cape Girardeau, was a guest speaker at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa recently.
Kessinger's topic was Kale Upper Cervical Specific Brain Stem procedure as a way of health. Kessinger is a Kale certified instructor and world coordinator of the Kale Mission.
Donna Farrow of Oriole, showroom manager of Meyer Supply Co., 620 Good Hope in Cape Girardeau, recently attended a showroom seminar.
The seminar, sponsored by the Kohler Co, a manufacturer of plumbing fixtures, was held at Kohler, Wis..
Included at the seminar were tours of the manufacturing facilities, new product workshops and showroom training.
Sue Anne Rademaker, a pre-need specialist, has been honored as a "Premier Club" award winner for 1994 by Cornerstone Management Systems and its contracted life insurance company, United Family Life.
Rademaker, who provides advanced funeral planning services for Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, received her award during an awards convention and banquet in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
The award is presented to pre-need funeral planning professionals.
Four employees of the Production Credit Association and the Federal Land Bank Association of Southeast Missouri, with administrative offices at Sikeston, have new positions.
Don Pigg is vice president-review; Tanya Monroe is related services coordinator-accounting specialist; Glen Mays is assistance vice president-business development; and Teiffney Tyler is accounting analyst.
Ronald C. Milbach, president and CEO of the two organizations, announced the new positions recently.
The Land Bank and PCA provide farmers with short, intermediate and long-term farm credit needs in a dozen Southeast Missouri counties, including Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Scott and Stoddard.
Kent Crider, of K103-FM, has been nominated for "DJ of the Year," by the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
Crider, formerly of Paducah, Ky., won the award last year. He was also named CMA Personality of the Year in 1984.
Crider hosts the morning show on K103-FM from 5 to 10 and has been with Zimmer Broadcasting here since October 1990.
