Modern Woodmen agent to lead financial organization

R. Allen Phillips of Modern Woodmen of America in Cape Girardeau was elected to serve as president of the Missouri federation of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Phillips has served in the insurance industry for 26 years and is a past board member of the Southeast Missouri chapter of the American Red Cross and chairman of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

Saint Francis Medical Center adds gastroenterologists

Dr. Wilson P. Pais and Dr. Rafid J. Hussein have joined the staff at Cape Gastroenterology Specialists. These specialists are trained to diagnose, manage and treat conditions of the digestive system, such as disorders of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver and colon. Pais earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India. He completed a fellowship in advanced gastroenterology at the University of Missouri in Columbia and a fellowship at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Pais also completed residencies in geriatric medicine at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y., and in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Hussein earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and a residency in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.

Summers joins Hahs Group as director of selection

Sarah Summers has joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, the Hahs Group, as director of selection. Formerly a real estate broker with Realty Executives of Cape County, Summers now will recruit new financial representatives for the agency and help develop their skills. She will complete a corporate training program in St. Louis before assuming her role.

Funeral home hires pre-need services coordinator

Crain Funeral Home has hired Dwana Leible as coordinator of pre-need services at its Cape Girardeau location. Leible holds degrees from Southeast Missouri State University and Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. She previously worked as a customer service representative for the Southeast Missourian. Leible and her husband, Danny, have three children and live in Kelso, Mo.

Former Montgomery Bank COO appointed to board

James Limbaugh, former chief operating officer of Montgomery Bank, has been appointed to the bank's board of directors. Limbaugh was recently named Southeast Missouri Hospital executive vice president for planning and business development. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Limbaugh's community involvement includes Southeast Board of Regents, Centenary United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of America and Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.
