Glueck Joins Bank of Missouri

The Bank of Missouri has appointed Charles "Charlie" Glueck of Jackson as a community bank advisory director for Cape Girardeau County. His duties will officially begin in October. Glueck is the owner and operator of Jackson Tire Center, a second-generation family-owned business that opened in 1980. He is active in the Jackson community and is a well-known businessman. The Bank of Missouri is a 120-year-old independent community bank based in Perryville, Mo. with locations there as well as Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Marble Hill, Columbia, Springfield, Republic and Ozark.

Rappa Opens Bed & Breakfast

Pat Rappa of Jackson has opened Wine Country Inn at 6229 Main St. in Frohna, Mo., offering overnight stays, breakfast or brunch, authentic German meals and customizable packages. She also hosts private parties and events in the renovated home, built in 1915. Rappa previously worked as owner/administrator of Immediate Healthcare in Cape Girardeau and Perryville, Mo. She also has a background in real estate, corporate management and as a dance and aerobics instructor.

Martin opens ENT clinic

Dr. Richard A. Martin has opened a new clinic for the practice of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery at 37 Doctors' Park, Suite No. 1 in Cape Girardeau. Martin is seeing existing patients and new patients by physician referral at his new location. Martin was named Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Reconstructive Surgeons in 1985 and is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, associate member of the American Academy of Facial, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery and member of the American College of Surgeons and the Missouri chapter of the College of Surgeons. He has served as chief of surgery at Southeast Hospital, president of the Missouri Medical Society of Otolaryngology, president of the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society, counselor of the Missouri Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and chairman of the Great American Smokeout. Martin has written numerous papers on otolaryngology and holds a patent for the Aspiration Irrigation Maneuver Apparatus for Sinus Irrigation.
