Angie Colbert of Leet EyeCare's 856 N. Kingshighway location has attained paraoptometric certification. By passing this level of testing, Colbert demonstrated an understanding of the concepts used in optometric care and is certified to carry out all functions in the practice.

Rick Jenkins has been appointed by the Mineral Area College Board of Trustees to head the business office at the community college. The position was held by retired business manager Rusty Straughan until July 1.

Jenkins, who has more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience, has served the college as assistant controller/internal auditor. He's also worked for the community college as the controller and chief financial officer.

Dawn M. Seabaugh has been hired as association executive at the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors. Seabaugh, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, lives in Perryville, Missouri, and has a background in banking, small business and teaching. She previously worked as a real-estate agent for six years.
