Urology Associates hires Perryville, Mo., native Galati
Dr. Vincenzo Galati has joined the staff of Cape Girardeau Urology Associates, 3 Doctors Park. A native of Perryville, Mo., Galati holds degrees from Southeast Missouri State University and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. He trained in general surgery and urology, completing his chief residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in June.
Mo. National Guard welcomes human resources technician
Sgt. Darrin J. Davis of East Prairie, Mo., is now a human resources technician in the Missouri National Guard's Recruit Sustainment Program. Davis will oversee administrative duties for the program's Company E, based in Cape Girardeau. His job includes preparing new recruits for basic training by making sure their paperwork is up to date, as it relates to their military orders, promotions and other National Guard forms. He also is responsible for ordering company supplies and data entry, among other duties. Davis has been in the Missouri National Guard for four years and held another full-time Guard job as the retention noncommissioned officer in Cape Girardeau from 2007 to 2008. Davis was deployed for 14 months to Iraq with Company C, 1st Battalion/106th Aviation in 2007-2008.
Bank names Cape Girardeau advisory board directors
Banterra Bank has named advisory board directors for its Cape Girardeau branch. Members are Rob Janet, owner of Dutch Enterprises Inc., Jerry Schwab, owner of Service Four Equipment Co. Inc., Dale Beaird, retired banker and commercial real estate investor, and Dr. Todd Lumsden, owner of Eye Care Consultants Inc.
Janet and his family live in the Cape Giradeau area. He is involved in various civic and community organizations including St. Mary's Catholic Church and School, Notre Dame Regional High School and the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce.
Schwab and his family also reside in Cape Girardeau. He is a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce.
Beaird and his family reside in Cape Girardeau. He is a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.
Lumsden lives in Jackson with his family. He serves on various medical boards and societies and is a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church. Lumsden is also on the board of directors of the United Way of Southeast Missouri.
Ostrenga named head of pharmacists society
Andrew Ostrenga was installed as president of the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists on July 31 during the group's annual meeting in Biloxi, Miss. A 1999 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, Ostrenga is currently employed as a pediatric hematology and oncology clinical pharmacist at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor in pharmacy practice at the University of Mississippi.
Hospital foundation adds members
Five new members have joined the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation board of directors through 2012. The new members are Frank M. Kinder, Mary Kistner, Scott Rhodes, Jason Siener and Jerry Waddle.
Kinder, president of Red Letter Communications Inc. in Cape Girardeau, brings more than 25 years of business experience and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business to the Foundation. Kinder has served in leadership roles throughout his career, including senior manager for Accenture in Chicago, and vice president of marketing for Nestle in Glendale, Calif.
Kistner is an executive broker for Realty Executives of Cape County in Cape Girardeau and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She served as Foundation Board member 2002-2008 and Pediatric Rooftop Healing Garden Committee member.
Rhodes is vice president and co-owner of Plaza Tire Service Inc. He is also serving as commissioner on the Cape Girardeau Planning and Zoning Board and has served on the advisory boards of Alliance Bank and First Missouri State Bank.
Siener is president and CEO at Morsey Constructors LLC and is responsible for overall company operations, encompassing commercial and industrial maintenance and construction activities. Siener has worked at Morsey for the better part of his career, after graduating from Murray State University.
Waddle has more than 30 years of experience in education and has mostly recently served as interim dean of the College of Education at Southeast Missouri State University. He taught at Southeast's College of Education and served as superintendent of schools in several Missouri districts over the years. Waddle was also a member of Missouri State High School Activities Association Board of Directors and president of Southeast Missouri District Superintendents.
