Tyson Schoolfield of Jackson is now a regional salesman for Canedy Sign and Graphics in Cape Girardeau. Schoolfield previously worked in sales at Withers Broadcasting. In his new position he will represent Canedy Sign throughout Southeast Missouri as well as Paducah, Ky., and Marion, Ill. Schoolfield earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a member of Tri-State Advertising and Marketing Professionals and a volunteer with Lutheran Family and Children's Services.
Marvin Colyer, certified registered nurse anesthetics, of Farmington, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, received the 2011 Federal Political Director of the Year award from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The award acknowledges a certified registered nurse anesthetics who has made a significant contribution in advancing the association's federal health care agenda through grassroots political activities. Colyer currently works as a staff nurse anesthetist at Parkland Health Center in Farmington and Farmington Surgicenter, Washington County Hospital in Potosi, Mo., and Iron County Hospital in Pilot Knob, Mo. He has been a nurse for nearly 50 years, serving as federal political director for the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists since 1995. He is also past-president of the organization.
Joyce Hill Cooley, a hearing instrument specialist with Miracle Ear Centers in Perryville, Mo., received a Platinum Award for Outstanding Educational Achievement at the Missouri Hearing Society Educational Conference in St. Louis. The society recognizes individuals whoa go beyond the basic continuing education requirements in an effort to provide superior service to their patients. Jill Cooley completed 37 hours of continuing education to receive this award.
Greg Farrow, a AAA sales agent in AAA's Cape Girardeau office has received AAA's President's Club Award. To qualify he had to meet standards of performance in property and casualty insurance services as well as goals in auto insurance sales, loss ratios and policyholder services. Farrow received a President's Club diamond ring, an award that recognizes AAA's top 15 sales agents. Farrow has been a AAA sales agent since 2009.
Ken Volkerding of Jackson, a financial representative with Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial was named New Member Leader in the Missouri East Region for the month of March. He has been with Modern Woodmen since October 2004. Kelly Darby of Jackson, a financial representative with Modern Woodmen, was named New Member Leader in the Missouri East Region for the month of April. Darby has been with Modern Woodmen since October. David Hinkebein of Perryville, Mo., a financial representative with Modern Woodmen, was named Rookie of the Month in the Missouri East Region for the month of March. This recognition is presented to a full-time representative who has been with Modern Woodmen for less than three years and is leading the region in production. Hinkebein joined Modern Woodmen full-time in December.
Kevin Sigman has earned the designation of Level II Special Hazards Suppression Systems from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies.
