Lucas Presson has been named general manager for Arrow Digital, which produces the student newspaper and news website, southeastarrow.com, for Southeast Missouri State University.
Arrow Digital is operated as a partnership between Southeast and Rust Communications, the parent company of the Southeast Missourian.
Presson earned an undergraduate degree in communication studies and a master's degree in business administration from Southeast.
He previously served as assistant managing editor for the Southeast Missourian and maintains the role of editorial-page editor and editorial board member. He is the project manager for the Semoball Awards, a high school sports banquet to be held June 21 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, where more than 200 athletes from 58 schools in Southeast Missouri will be recognized.
Dr. Richard Roettger is a new medical partner and trauma surgeon at Cape Trauma Specialists of Saint Francis Medical Center. He is board-certified in general surgery, and joins the staff at the Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level III Trauma Center.
Roettger earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his surgical internship and residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and his fellowship at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems in Baltimore.
Roettger previously served as chief of trauma/emergency surgery service at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, medical director of the surgical intensive care and burn units at University of Louisville Hospital, and administrative chief of general surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, S.C.
