Dr. Cody Bell of Cape Girardeau joined Jackson Dental. Bell graduated with honors the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with a doctor of dental surgery degree. He is a member of the American Dental Society, Missouri Dental Association, Southeast Dental Society and the American Academy of General Dentists. Bell begins Wednesday and will join Dr. Rob Etherton and Dr. Ben Goodier.
Greg Farrow, sales agent with AAA of Cape Girardeau, earned the AAA President's Circle Award, AAA Accuracy Award and President's Circle Diamond Ring. Farrow was recognized for being among AAA's top 15 sales agents, meeting goals and superior performance in insurance services. Farrow has worked with AAA since 2009.
Dennis Vinson of Cape Girardeau was appointed as an advisory director for The Bank of Missouri. He is currently president/CEO and founding owner of Signature Packaging and Paper LLC in Jackson. Vinson currently serves on the boards of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Girardeau.
Rocky Francis, owner of Steel Concepts & Design LLC of Cape Girardeau, was honored as a Patriotic Employer by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The award is one of two employer awards given by the government and recognizes supervisors and bosses who employ National Guard or Reserve Members and provide non-mandated support to employees engaged in military duties such as flexible schedules, time off before and after deployment, caring for families, granting leaves of absence and continuing pay while on deployment. Francis was nominated by Scott Enderle, a reservist who works full time for Steel Concepts. Francis said he sometimes grumbles about Enderle being gone so often. "But then I remember it's a small price I pay, for allowing him to serve our country in what could be a huge price he and other military members would pay for us all."
Liz Glastetter was named patient care manager of Saint Francis Medical Center's Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She has been with Saint Francis since 2002 as an administrative partner with neurosciences, worked as a nurse in the family birthplace in 2007 and has spent time in the critical care unit. Glastetter holds a degree from Southeast Missouri State University, nursing degree from Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and a bachelor's of science degree in nursing from Southeast.
Donald Presson of Cape Girardeau was awarded a 2013 Freightliner tractor by USA Truck. The freightliner allows Presson and USA Truck to provide highest levels of safety, fuel efficiency and customer service. Presson has worked with USA Truck since 2005.
