Area sales rep honored at banquet in Las Vegas

Ken Steffens, sales representative for Luby Equipment Sales & Service, received the Distinguished Salesman award from the Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment Corporation at a recent banquet at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 in Las Vegas.

Real estate agent earns Double Centurion award

Century 21 Key Realty announced that the company recently recognized sales associate Jane Clark with the Double Centurion producer award. The award is given to associates who earn $418,000 in sales production of 120 closed sales in a calendar year. Clark has 23 years experience in real estate and has been with Century 21 the entire time.

Nurse nominated for excellence award

Amy O'Rear of Jackson was nominated for the 2008 Nursing Alumni Organizations RN to BSN Nursing award for overall excellence from the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri. The award recognizes clinical proficiency, academic excellence and professional commitment. O'Rear, a lifelong Jackson resident, works as a cardiac nurse for Southeast Missouri Hospital and as an RN per diem nurse for Saint Francis Medical Center.

Stanley Grimm named in top 10 state lawyers list

Lawyer Stanley Grimm of Cape Girardeau was named one of the state's best lawyers in the area of alternative dispute resolution in a recent edition of St. Louis Magazine. The list included 10 lawyers from across the state, including three from St. Louis, three from Kansas City, two from Clayton, one from Springfield, and Grimm. He has served as a mediator in more than 500 mediations and works in the St. Louis area as well as throughout Southeast Missouri. Grimm is a former judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals and a former circuit judge in the 32nd Judicial Circuit.
