KBSI, a Fox affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., recently hired Edwin Groves as the new general manager for the TV station's Paducah, Kentucky, Cape Girardeau and Southern Illinois market.

Groves will also oversee the WDKA station. Groves has over 25 years in the broadcast industry, according to a news release from the Sinclair company, and most recently was general sales manager at WAAY (ABC) in Huntsville, Alabama.

Luke Henson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of Matthew and Patti Henson of Cape Girardeau, was recently awarded the Amjur/Best Paper award in Secured Transactions, White Collar Crime and Business Fraud, Pre-Trial Practice and Expert Witness Seminar from the Mississippi School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, according to the Daily American Republic newspaper.

Henson is a graduate of Missouri State University.

Kim Duggins, Cory Roper, Brittany Keller and Richard Fletcher, employees of the manufacturing division at S&W Cabinets, attended the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show from Jan. 20 to 22 in Las Vegas. The convention featured new products, trends and technologies to design, build and remodel homes. More than 125,000 residential design and construction professionals were represented at the show.
