Dobbins named 'Icon of Education'

Dr. Kenneth Dobbins

Dr. Kenneth Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, was named an "Icon of Education" in the January edition of Ingram's magazine. Dobbins was recognized for his achievements, contributions and standards of excellence. According to Ingram's, Dobbins, has made, "deep, lasting contributions to the lives of the students." Dobbins began with Southeast in 1993 as executive vice president and was named president in 1999. Dobbins holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Akron, a master's of business administration from Old Dominion University, a doctorate in higher education administration from Kent State University and served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years.

Bailiff joins PC Wellness Center

Becky Bailiff has joined PC Wellness Center in Cape Girardeau as a massage therapist. Bailiff has three year of experience and specializes in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and prenatal massage. She joins Angela Engelen, allowing PC Wellness to offer massage therapy Monday through Saturday.

Nordin joins Wood and Huston

Kristy Nordin

Kristy Nordin has joined Wood and Huston Bank as a mortgage loan officer. Her primary responsibilities include portfolio management and growth for real estate relationships. Nordin previously worked at Bank of America as a manager and loan specialist.

Henson named regional bank president

Matthew Henson

Matthew Henson has been named regional president for U.S. Bank in Southeast Missouri. Henson's primary responsibilities include overseeing sales, service operations and credit quality for 23 area branches. Henson has 30 years of banking experience. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's degree in business administration from William Woods University. He is also a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking in Dallas. Henson succeeds Stan Penn, who will retire after 34 years. Penn will open his own business in his hometown of Ft. Worth, Texas. He has been with U.S. Bank in Cape Girardeau since 2007.
