Fumatore di Sigaro wins excellence award

Fumatore di Sigaro, a cigar shop in Cape Girardeau, was awarded the Excellence in Business Award from the Missouri Small Business & Technology Development Centers and Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. Business partners Scott Pieterface and Richard Proffer were recognized for outstanding achievement in business management, government contracting, job creation and revenue generation.

Roth joins Kaelin Group

Katie Roth of Perryville, Mo., has joined Kaelin Dental Group as a dental hygienist. Roth brings eight years of experience and returned to the area after working in Albuquerque, N.M. Roth's primary responsibilities include maintaining client relationships and ensuring sound dental health.

Cox earns outstanding citizen award

Nathan Cox

Nathan Cox of Sikeston, Mo., earned the Jaycees' 2013 Outstanding Young Missourian. He was recognized for his leadership, service and self-growth with work and the community. Cox is a commercial relationship manager at US Bank in Sikeston.

Willis earns certification

David Willis

David Willis, financial adviser and vice president of Wells Fargo Investments, earned Certified Financial Planner status through Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Wills completed a planning curriculum for personal finance, insurance, investment, retirement and estate planning. The certification allows Wills to handle client investments with professionalism, integrity and competence. Wills holds a degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University.

Mackins helps with hurricane relief

Maggie Mackins of Fruitland mobilized as a volunteer with the American Red Cross to provide relief after superstorm Sandy. Mackins will be serving in New Jersey. This is her second deployment for Sandy.

Soto earns certification

David E. Soto Sr. of SOTO Property Solutions earned the Certified Investor Agent Specialist designation. This allows Soto to serve clients' wealth building strategies by planning real estate investments.

Bailiff joins PC Wellness Center

Becky Bailiff

Becky Bailiff has joined PC Wellness Center in Cape Girardeau as a massage therapist. Bailiff has three years of experience and specializes in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and prenatal massage. She joins Angela Engelen, allowing PC Wellness to offer massage therapy Monday through Saturday.

Nordin joins Wood and Huston

Kristy Nordin has joined Wood and Huston Bank as a mortgage loan officer. Her primary responsibilities include portfolio management and growth for real estate relationships. Nordin previously worked at Bank of America as a manager and loan specialist.
