Bennett one of youngest awarded honor

Dr. Ross Bennett, co-owner and managing partner of Bennett Family Dentistry, 1200 N. Cape Rock Drive in Cape Girardeau, was inducted as a fellow of the International College of Dentists at its 84th annual convocation in New Orleans. Bennett is one of the youngest dentists awarded the honor from the organization that recognizes outstanding and meritorious service to the professional community. The college has representative chapters in more than 80 countries and inducted 300 dentists from the United States in the ceremony.

Jennifer Grier joins CASA staff

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Missouri announced Jennifer Grier as its volunteer coordinator. CASA trains volunteer advocates to provide juvenile justice advocacy for foster children in the 32nd Judicial Circuit of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau and Perry counties, according to a news release from CASA. Grier has master's degree in social work from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. She is experienced in investigating child abuse and neglect, case management and the adoption process.
