KFVS12 has announced that Chuck Voss, the station's creative services director, has been awarded the 2006 Don Sherwood Award for Community Service. The award was presented by Mike Smythe, general manager for KFVS12, at the station's annual Christmas party earlier this month. "I'm honored that my co-workers at the station selected me for this award," Voss said. "I doubt that I do any more than anyone else, but to be chosen for community service means a lot." The Sherwood Award is presented each year to a KFVS12 employee who best exemplifies the spirit of community service. The award is named after longtime KFVS12 employee Don Sherwood.
