Steven C. Bjelich, CEO and president of the Saint Francis Healthcare System, was chosen for the list of "CEOs to Know" for 2014 by Becker's Hospital Review, a magazine for hospital business news and analysis.

Bjelich and others on the list were "selected based on their experience, professional achievement and involvement in their communities," according to a news release from Saint Francis.

The magazine notes the $127 million expansion and renovation project ongoing at Saint Francis, along with a Visionary Leader Award from the Missouri Hospital Association awarded to Bjelich in 2010 and his membership on the association's board of trustees.

Bjelich has 38 years of experience in senior level health-care management, according to the release, and has led the health-care system since 1999.
