Deborah Jennings joins RE/MAX Achievers

Deborah Jennings has joined the real estate team at RE/MAX Achievers in Cape Girardeau.

Jennings has been in real estate for two years and focuses primarily on residential sales. She is a member of the Cape Girardeau Board of Realtors, Cape Girardeau County Multiple Listing Service, Missouri Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

RE/MAX International, based in Denver, oversees a network of independently owned and operated offices. Currently, there are more than 100,000 Sales Associates in more than 50 countries in the RE/MAX organization.

Southeast managers earn certification

Julie Metzger, MSW, LCSW, ACM and Theresa Hall, BSN, RN, CMA, BC, CPUR, ACM have successfully passed the American Case Management Association/Accredited Case Manager certification exam.

This is the only hospital/health system case management certification designed specifically for the provider practice setting. The certification is for both social workers and RN case managers.

Metzger, who is Southeast Missouri Hospital's social services manager, has been an employee of the hospital since 1994. She holds a bachelor's of social work from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's social work from St. Louis University.

Hall, who is nurse manager of case management, has been on Southeast's staff since 1978. She holds an associate of arts degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University and a BSN from Webster University in St. Louis. She is also certified in nursing administration through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is also a certified professional in Utilization Review.

Cape neurosurgeon earns board certification

Kevin A. Vaught, M.D., with the Brain and NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri, has received board certification through the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

The broad aim of the American Board of Neurological Surgery is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby to serve the cause of public health.

Dr. Vaught received his M.D. degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Semmes-Murphy Clinic in Memphis.

Vaught's speciality areas include brain and spine surgery, carpal tunnel surgery, aneurysm surgery and peripheral nerve surgery.

Schabbing accepts position at Dana

Chris Schabbing has accepted the position of Human Resource Business Partner at the Dana's Cape Girardeau facility, manager Larry Dillon announced last week.

Schabbing started his Dana career in 1997 as a cell technician in Department 800. He later served as cell leader in 1999. He was then promoted in 2002 to the position of human resource administrator.

Schabbing holds a bachelor's in business administration with an emphasis in management from Southeast Missouri State University.
