Bohnsack joins ACCION Delta

Craig Bohnsack has joined ACCION Texas Inc. as a loan officer serving the Missouri region of a new organization that will operate locally as ACCION Delta. ACCION Delta is a collaborative effort with Southeast Missouri State University's Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and serves portions of Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. ACCION is a not-for-profit organization that provides affordable capital to startups and established small businesses that do not have the ability to secure funding from the commercial lending market. It is the nation's leading microlender. Bohnsack holds a bachelor's degree in financial economics and a master's degree in business administration, both from Southeast Missouri State University. The loan office is at 920 Broadway in Cape Girardeau within the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Cape Electrical Supply has named Curt Buchheit as the company's chief financial officer. Buchheit brings extensive financial and business experience from a background that includes public accounting and manufacturing. He has served as vice president of finance at HAVCO Wood Products in Cape Girardeau. Buchheit, a native of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., holds an accounting degree from Southeast Missouri State University and is a certified public accountant. His new position at Cape Electrical Supply includes responsibility for all financial reporting, IT and logistics. He replaces John Horgan, who was the company's CFO before being named president in April. Cape Electrical Supply now operates 25 locations in seven states. In business since 1953, the company serves customers in commercial construction, industry, utility, communications and residential markets.

Kempf attends Hawaii conference

Carolyn Kempf of Elite Travel Inc. represented Cape Girardeau at the second annual Hawaii Travel Exchange in Maui, Hawaii. The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau brought together the top 150 travel agents in the nation to take part in property site inspections and educational sessions. In addition, Kempf was recognized as the top producing agency for Hawaii in Southeast Missouri. Travel agent delegates who attended were prequalified through a strict voting process, including booking history analysis, supplier references and industry qualifiers.
