Jennifer and Rhett Hendrickson of Hendrickson Business Advisors have spun off their business brokerage operations and will now be offering comprehensive business brokerage services through Murphy Business and Financial Corp. Murphy is one of the largest and most successful business brokerage firms in North America with brokers throughout the United States and Canada specializing in businesses for sale, franchises, valuations and related services. Craig Bohnsack and Tony Smee have joined Jennifer Hendrickson as business brokers for Murphy Business and will also serve as consultants through Hendrickson Business Advisors. Bohnsack has been a community banker since 1999 and was most recently a commercial lender with Alliance Bank. Throughout his career he has used his bachelor's degree in economics and his master's degree in business administration to analyze and advise his clients at all stages of the business cycle. Smee, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, has been a business executive since 1992 and a small-business owner since 1996. He has extensive experience with marketing, sales and operations across industry and in franchise systems. He owns and operates an AmeriSpec franchise.

Cape Medical Group to offer primary care through hospital

Cape Medical Group is the newest physician practice partner of Saint Francis Medical Center. The primary care group, formerly known as Mount Auburn Medical Group, is led by board-certified family medicine physician Dr. Jeffrey W. Childers and board-certified internal medicine physician Dr. Philip E. Tippen. Childers earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia and completed a family medicine residency at Quincy Family Practice Center and Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. Tippen earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine and completed a primary care and internal medicine residency at Bassett Hospital/Columbia University in Cooperstown, N.Y. The practice is in Suite 342 in the Health and Wellness Center on the Saint Francis campus, 150 S. Mount Auburn Road.

Bryant opens Farmers Insurance agency in Cape

Farmers Insurance Group has a new agent in the Cape Girardeau area. Tim Bryant has established an agency with emphasis on auto, home, life and business insurance. He also is licensed to sell health insurance and Medicare supplement policies. He has an office at 3105 Independence St. in Cape Girardeau.

Sims named patient care manager

Jenna Sims has been named patient care manager of Zone 3C at Saint Francis Medical Center. She will report to James A. Wakin, director of medical nursing. Before joining Saint Francis, Sims spent four years at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky., where she was the charge nurse for neurosciences and orthopedic services. Before that, she worked as a licensed practical nurse at Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill. Sims received her LPN and RN licenses at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.

Noto receives wine specialist certificate

Brian Noto was recognized as a certified wine specialist by the Society of Wine Educators. Noto was required to pass an exam about worldwide wine regions, viticulture, grape varieties, wine production, wine tasting and etiquette. He is one of two certified wine specialists in the Cape Girardeau area and 3,541 worldwide.
