Sipe joins Cape Electrical as chief operating officer

James Sipe has joined Cape Electrical Supply in Cape Girardeau as chief operating officer. A South Carolina native and graduate of the Citadel, Sipe is responsible for the overall operations of the company with special emphasis on branch management, vendor relations and customer service. He previously worked for Cameron & Barkley and Hagemeyer North America in Charleston, S.C. in a number of key executive positions.

Cape Girardeau salon adds color specialist to staff

Concepts Styling Salon in Cape Girardeau has added stylist and hair-color specialist Jessica Haws to its staff. Haws has more than 12 years' experience as a stylist. A native of the Cape Girardeau area, Haws recently moved back to the community.

Welch receives insurance adviser of the year award

The National Association for Insurance and Financial Advisors of Cape Girardeau presented board member Jerry Welch of American Family Insurance in Cape Girardeau the M. Luther Hahs, CLU, Insurance and Financial Adviser of the Year Award. Welch received the award for his contributions to the industry. Welch has been a member of NAIFA-Cape Girardeau for 12 years.

Big River Telephone hires five area men to fill IT, other posts

Big River Telephone in Cape Girardeau has added Michael Howe, sales engineer; Jahir Estrada, cable technical support; Codey Williams, wholesale voice provisioning; Benton Anderson, information technology; and Josh White, information technology.

Howe is a graduate of the University of Missouri and is responsible for support and network design for Big River's wholesale cable companies. Estrada is a recent graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and his duties will include support and troubleshooting of digital voice for Big River's wholesale customers. Williams also holds a degree from Southeast Missouri State University and handles provisioning and supporting digital voice products for Big River's wholesale customers. Anderson graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and handles programming and web development. White recently graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and is responsible for web development and wholesale applications.
