- Sara Gerau has been named executive director of the Southeast Missouri chapter of the American Red Cross. The appointment was effective Nov. 1, according to a news release from the organization. Gerau is a native of Southeast Missouri and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Gerau began service to the American Red Cross as a board member in 2007, and before appointment to the new position worked as executive director of financial development for the chapter for the past four and half years.
- Chris Cole has joined Lorenz & Lorenz Attorneys as counsel attorney. Cole has a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri -Columbia and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has law experience in the areas of real estate, business, corporate law and planning and estate planning, according to a news release from the firm. He is also the in-house legal counsel for Realty Executives of Cape County and assists in the real estate company's day-to-day management. He will continue serving in that position in addition to practicing with the firm.
