Vickery named area manager for SBA in Cape Girardeau

Bill Vickery is the new area manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration alternate work site in Cape Girardeau. Vickery was previously the director of the Small Business Development Center and director of entrepreneurship and training for the Southeast Innovation Center. Vickery has had 25 years' experience in the banking industry, serving as vice president of commercial lending at Commerce Bank and vice president of commercial loans at First National Bank, now Montgomery Bank. Vickery's office is in the Southeast Missouri State University Innovation Center at 920 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.

McElrath participates in sheriff's institute program

Bollinger County Sheriff Leo E. McElrath participated in the recent National Sheriff's Institute in Longmont, Colo. A national executive development program designed for sheriffs, the program features training on challenges such as public safety, community relations and system safety facing sheriffs today.
