Chartwells chef named to culinary network
Executive chef Emily Bashore has recently been appointed to the Regional Culinary Network for Chartwells' High Education Central Region. Bashore joined Chartwells at Southeast Missouri State University as executive chef on Sept. 19, 2002. Bashore completed Master Works I training in Hyde Park, N.Y., in April and Master Works II training in California in June.
Bashore's main responsibilities include menu design and food production for retail operations on campus as well as catering events held on and off campus.
Cross Trails hires dentist for Marble Hill clinic
Cross Trails Medical Center has hired Dr. Kara Lemmon, a full-time dentist, to work out of its Marble Hill Dental Clinic. Lemmon is a 2003 graduate of the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Lemmon attended Central High School in Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University.
Lemmon will replace Dr. Ed Lamitt.
Accountants attend educational seminars
Connie Brown, audit manager, and Michael Radake, audit supervisor, have attended three seminars in Chattanooga, Tenn. Both are employed at Schott & Van de Ven.
The course covered the application of current technical pronouncements of FASB and the AICPA, the consideration of fraud in financial statement audit and the implementation of a risk-based approach to audits.
