Planters names new VP, new mortgage personnel
Union Planters Bank announced that Felicia J. Morgan has been named vice president of mortgage for the bank's 16 offices in Southeast Missouri. Her office is at 407 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
Morgan began her banking career in 1989, most recently serving as vice president/ banking center manager for Bank of America in Cape Girardeau.
Previous to that, she served as area manager of eight branches for First National Bank of Chicago.
Morgan is a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce and Cape First Church.
The bank also has announced that Ben Ritter and Lance Gragg have been named mortgage loan originators for the local bank.
Ritter has 10 years of business and financial experience, most recently serving as a personal banker with Bank of America. He is a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
Gragg is experienced in sales and marketing, most recently serving as program/sales coordinator at St. Francis Medical Center's Universal Health and Fitness Center. He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
Bloom joins Robinson Construction
Vince Bloom has joined Robinson Construction Co. as a project manager in Perryville, Mo. As a project manager, Bloom will be responsible for the overall management of industrial construction projects completed for Robinson's customers.
Bloom brings to Robinson 17 years of construction experience. He is currently completing a civil engineering degree at Washington University in St. Louis. Bloom has successfully estimated projects up to $145 million and managed projects up to $65 million in construction value in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. Most recently, Bloom was employed in business development, estimating and project management.
Robinson Construction is a heavy construction and mechanical contractor in Perryville.
Wade achieves specialists certification
Wes Wade of Horizon Screen Printing and Promotional Products has achieved the certification of certified advertising specialist. CAS is a designation of the Promotional Products Association Photo International and is earned by completing approximately 70 classroom hours following a structured curriculum, passing a comprehensive examination and actively working in the industry more than three years.
The certification reflects a commitment to the industry, to the customer, and to personal/professional growth. Only a fraction of those in the industry hold a CAS certification
Wade has been with Horizon Screen Printing and Promotional Products since 1990 and is the sales and marketing manager.
Red Letter adds three to creative team
Red Letter Communications has announced the addition of three new members to its creative services team: Brian Perveneckis and Andy Dunaway in the graphics department, and Jeremy Smith in video production.
Perveneckis is the agency's new graphic designer. He joins Red Letter from Chicago's Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman. In his new role, he will create high-impact, visual pieces to effectively market and promote a variety of products, services and companies. Perveneckis holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University's School of Art and Design.
Dunaway is Red Letter's new production artist. He will generate prepress materials and maintain graphic production activities, as well as design materials for a variety of clients. Dunaway holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Southeast Missouri State University.
Smith joins Red Letter as an assistant audio/video technician. His duties will include video editing and on-location sound mixing. He will also serve as a grip on studio productions. Smith graduated with honors from Southeast Missouri State University, with an associate's degree in technical computer graphics.
Accountant completes federal seminar series
Bill Schott, a CPA and managing partner of Schott and Van de Ven Certified Public Accountants, has completed a week-long conference on federal tax issues.
The National Tax Institute 2003 Conference Program included a federal tax update, information on new developments in the IRS and a section on practical estate planning for closely held business owners. The conference was held in Charleston, S.C.
Southeast announces promotions in admissions
Danielle Alspaugh, an admissions counselor at Southeast Missouri State University since January 2002, was recently promoted to associate director of admissions for operations.
In this new position, Alspaugh takes on a more administrative role than in her previous admissions position. She will work closely with current students and the admissions staff to conduct a variety of programs, which help counselors meet with prospective students to help them decide what to do after high school.
