Thompson graduates from banking school

The Bank of Missouri announced that Kyle Thompson recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Thompson completed nine extensive projects designed to bring the educational experience back to the organization in a practical manner. Thompson has been with The Bank of Missouri for nearly seven years and serves as community bank president for the Jackson market.

Mayberry completes travel agent program

Elite Travel announced Katie Mayberry has completed the Riviera Maya travel agent program. Mayberry completed the five-part program, on top of her multiple visits to the region, to become an expert on the Riviera Maya. The program is dedicated to travel agents from all over the world to help them specialize in the region.

McWilliams joins SFMC as medical partner

Saint Francis Medical Center announced the addition of Dr. Grant D. McWilliams as a medical partner and the newest obstetrician/gynecologist at Cape Care for Women. McWilliams has practiced in Cape Girardeau since 2012. Before that, he served four years as staff obstetrician/gynecologist and also as chief of obstetrics at Bassett Army Community Hospital at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He earned a bachelor's degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board eligible and a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Martin named top association CEO

Michael Martin, president and chief executive officer of the National Wood Flooring Association in Chesterfield, Mo., was named a 2013 Top Association CEO by CEO Update. CEO Update recognizes association executives who distinguish themselves as standouts in areas that include advocacy efforts, leadership ability, success in building a positive workplace that inspires staff loyalty, raising the organization's profile, managing crises and organizational growth. Martin was recognized in the small and/or highly specialized association category.

Okenfuss named area engineer

The Southeast District of the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Brian Okenfuss was named the new area engineer for the district's north area.

Okenfuss is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and has been employed by MoDOT since 2007. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, and most recently he served as a senior construction inspector in the Park Hills project office.

Fallert honored with Democracy Award

Citizens Electric Corporation Director Herb Fallert was honored with the 2013 Frank Stork Democracy Award at the 76th annual meeting of the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives on Oct. 4 in Kansas City, Mo. Fallert, of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., has been a member of CEC's board of directors since 1990 and has served as its treasurer, secretary, vice president and district representative. Fallert has been a member of AMEC's Legislative and Government Relations Committee since 2006 and has served on the AMEC Executive Committee and full board. He has made many trips to Washington, D.C., to lobby on behalf of rural issues.

Jernigan named executive director

Jeff Jernigan has been named executive director for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Girardeau. A Texas native, Jernigan earned his bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Texas Tech University and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1995. With a background in sales, management and customer service, he most recently worked for Integrity Solution Services (formerly NARS) as a trainer and customer service adviser.

Casey joins John's Pharmacy

John's Pharmacy has added Casey Dye, PharmD, to its staff of pharmacists.

Dye originally is from Sikeston, Mo. She is a 2010 graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy and was employed as a full-time pharmacist with Walgreens in Cape Girardeau since her graduation.

Dye joined the John's Pharmacy team in October and will work as a full-time staff pharmacist in its retail and long-term care pharmacies.
