Michael D. Beatty is the new MidStates president of Liberty Utilities in Jackson.

He has more than 27 years of experience in the natural gas industry and moved to the Jackson area in 2012 as director of engineering and compliance.

Liberty's former MidStates president, David Swain, moved to New Hampshire to be president of Liberty Energy Utilities Corp.

Carol Childers has joined Cuba Financial Group as its director of business development.

She most recently worked for eight years as a branch manager at Commerce Bank in Cape Girardeau and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Dr. Sara Elizabeth Nowicki is a new emergency physician at Saint Francis Medical Center's Emergency and Trauma Center in Cape Girardeau.

The center is the only Level III trauma center in the local region.

Dr. Thomas S. Deimer will continue his role as vice president -- quality and patient safety but also will be responsible for performance improvement as well as supervising hospitalists, medical directors for all service lines and the medical staff office.

Teri Kreitzer, formerly director of human resources, has been promoted to vice president -- human resources and administrative services.

Jimmy Wilferth now is in charge of pastoral care and auxiliary and volunteer services.

Dr. James A. Schell II has resigned from his role as vice president -- medical affairs and has left the system.
