Phil Denson has joined Offices Unlimited as senior account executive. Denson will serving the Cape Girardeau area, providing customer service in the office supply sector.

O'Loughlin receives Innovations in Bankruptcy law award

Tom K. O'Loughlin II has received the 2009 Judge Robert E. Brauer Innovations in Bankruptcy Law Award. The annual award is given in honor of the now deceased Judge Brauer, a former chief bankruptcy judge of the Eastern District of Missouri. Additionally, the award is given to a Missouri lawyer selected by the Bankruptcy Practice Memorial Fund in association with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. O'Loughlin practices in Cape Girardeau with his brother, Pat, and his daughter, Erica Koetting.

Area doctor certifies in specialties

Dr. Krishnamohan R. Basarakodu passed a series of examinations to become board certified in hematology and medical oncology. Krishna is affiliated with Hematology/Oncology Associates of Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Hi Tech Communications employee certifies as ITS tech

Darren Hyde of Hi Tech Communications of Sikeston, Mo., recently attended an eight-day training and certification held by BICSI in San Francisco. Hyde completed 50 hours of self study before he qualified to attend the training. As an ITS Certified Technician, Hyde will be a lead technician and project manager for Hi Tech Communications' commercial construction division.

The National Association of Realtors offers the certification to real estate agents who want to help both buyers and sellers navigate these complicated transactions, as demand grows for professional expertise with distressed sales.

Soto appointed to committees by state Realtors association

David Soto of SOTO Property Management has been appointed to the governmental affairs, legislative and regulatory policy and technology committees by the Missouri Association of Realtors. The purpose of the governmental affairs committee is to increase the political influence of real estate agents through the implementation of fundraising, establishing relationships with members of the United States Congress and monitoring proposed federal legislation.
