Dana names June, July employees of the month
Process engineer Brian Davis of Yount, Mo., has been named Dana Corp.'s July employee of the month. He has worked at the Cape Girardeau facility since 1991. Cell technician Elaine Walden of Cape Girardeau has been named Dana's employee of the month for June. Walden has worked at the local facility since 1995. Dana Corp., a Toledo, Ohio-based company, operates a facility in Cape Girardeau that manufactures automotive axle components for both the light truck and SUV markets.
Dr. Paul J. Tolentino of the Brain & NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri, recently attended the American Association of Neurological Surgeons annual meeting in New Orleans. The meeting is the largest gathering of neurosurgeons in the world. The meeting focuses on the latest research and technological advances in the field of neurosurgery. Tolentino attended presentations on brain and spinal cord injuries and tumors, brain aneurysms, low back pain and a variety of other conditions. Tolentino has offices in both Cape Girardeau and Perryville, Mo.
Regions Bank has appointed Brian Rivenburgh as commercial relationship manager for the bank's locations in Cape Girardeau and Jackson. His office is at 407 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau. Rivenburgh has 10 years' experience in commercial and mortgage lending. He joined Regions Bank in 2003 and most recently served as a commercial relationship manager in the bank's Sikeston, Mo., office. He graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., with a bachelor's degree in political science.
Jerry Wieser and his team at Wieser Honda have been named No. 1 in a ranking of customer service satisfaction among dealerships in District 8 for the second quarter of 2005. During those three months, Hyundai Motor America says that Wieser Honda demonstrated that meeting and exceeding customer expectations was a top priority.
The World of Asphalt 2006 Show and Conference has named Nic Neubert, president and CEO of Cape Girardeau-based Delta Cos., to the exposition's management committee. The World of Asphalt Show and Conference will be held March 13 to 16 in Orlando, Fla. This is the second consecutive time organizers selected Neubert to help guide planning efforts. Neubert joins a 20-member committee of volunteer industry executives from around the country to direct planning for the event.
Laura Avakian, a native of Jackson, has been elected president of the Northeast Human Resources Association, the premier human resources association in New England, with nearly 4,000 members. Avakian is the daughter of Elizabeth and the late Ed McClary of Jackson and sister of Robb McClary, director of inspections for the city of Cape Girardeau. Avakian is vice president of human resources for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining MIT, she was senior vice president, human resources, for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
