Administrator receives nursing certification
Southeast Missouri Hospital home-care administrator Sheila Beussink has received nursing certification granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in the specialty of nursing administration. The certification requirements are met by continuing education credit hours, hours worked in a specialty area and a written exam. Beussink has been employed at Southeast since 1988.
Holly Lintner of Cape Girardeau has joined the staff of the United Way of Southeast Missouri as resource development manager. Lintner received a bachelor's degree in speech communications from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000 and is working toward her master's in public administration. She previously spent four years as a financial advisor for AIG/ VALIC.
Patrick Naeger, executive vice president of Healthcare Pharmacy and HealthCare Equipment & Supply Co., participated in the American Association for Homecare 2006 Washington Legislative Fly-In June 19 and 20 in Washington, D.C., to advocate for stronger home care in the United States. Naeger met with U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson and staff from Sens. Kit Bond and Jim Talent's offices as well as other members of Congress and staff to discuss provisions of the Medicare Modernization Act and its impact on home care in Missouri. The conference drew hundreds of home-care providers from across the United States.
Landmark Hospital, a long-term care facility in Cape Girardeau, has announced Deborah D. Taylor as new administrator/chief executive officer. She was formerly Landmark's assistant administrator/chief clinical officer. Landmark Hospital admitted its first patient in February and more than 70 percent of its patients have returned home following their stay.
Edward Jones investment representative Stan Irwin of Cape Girardeau recently received the firm's Winner's Circle Award for his outstanding sales and service efforts over the past year. Irwin was one of 883 of the firm's more than 9,000 investment representatives to receive the award. Irwin has been serving the Cape Girardeau area since 2001.
