Capaha Bank names vice president of finance

Jennifer S. Hendrickson has been hired as Capaha Bank's vice president of finance and chief financial officer, bringing 12 years of banking experience to Capaha Bank. Hendrickson started her banking career in her hometown of Springfield, Mo., while she pursued a degree in finance from Southwest Missouri State University. Upon graduation, she moved to St. Louis, where she managed a small credit union and spent five years in finance and marketing for Enterprise Bank in Clayton. It was during this time that she completed the Graduate School of Bank Financial Management through BAI at Vanderbilt University. She is currently working toward a master's degree in business administration at Southeast Missouri State University.

Big Yellow Box has new consultant

Tammy Ressel of Scott City is a new independent consultant for Big Yellow Box by Crayola, a national in-home selling program from Binney & Smith, the maker of Crayola products, based in Easton, Penn. As a consultant, Ressel does in-home presentations of a line of Big Yellow Box crafting projects intended to help families and children enjoy quality time together.

Blunt appoints Seyer to Missouri board

Gov. Matt Blunt announced the interim appointments of members who will serve on several boards, commissions and councils. Cindy L. Seyer, 42, of Cape Girardeau has been named to serve on the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care. Seyer is director of respiratory care services at Southeast Missouri Hospital. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on April 3, 2007.

Physician to be delegate to doctor's academy

Dr. Michael C. Wulfers of Cape Girardeau has been installed as a delegate to the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians. Wulfers will serve a three-year term. Wulfers was named to the post during the academy's annual meeting in Kansas City on June 4.

Realty Executives agents earn certification

Michelle Doughten and Wanda Duncan of Realty Executives of Cape County have completed the Realtor e-Pro course certification offered by the National Association of Realtors. The certification program is designed to provide real estate professionals with the technology tools needed to assist consumers in the purchase or sale of a home. Also, Terry Penrod and Elizabeth Gray have earned the certified residential specialist designation. The CRS is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. Joan Roth recently completed the requirements to earn the Graduate Realtor Institute designation.

House of Hair and Sun in Cape gains stylist

Ria Friedrich has joined Lisa's House of Hair and Sun, 2031 Independence St. Friedrich, formerly of J.C. Penney's, will be a stylist, offering waxing, coloring, perms and cuts.

Three attend St. Louis training meeting

Staff members of the USDA-Rural Development office in Jackson recently attended a state training meeting in St. Louis. While there they heard presentations from Sherie Hinton-Henry, deputy administrator for operations and management; Al Johnson, director of legislative and public affairs; Jane Cornwell, Office of General Counsel; and Gilbert Gonzalez, acting undersecretary. Those who attended were Randy Flowers, Debra Baker and Randal D. Friend.
