Changes made in St. Francis foundation board
Kyle E. Brost, O.D.; Lyle A. Davis; and Dr. Jerry L. Kinder have been elected to the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation.
Entering into their three-year terms, these new foundation board additions have joined newly elected board chairman John A. Layton, vice chairman Kathy J. Swan, treasurer Steve Taylor and secretary Marvin E. Adams. Layton succeeds Kevin A. Govero, who served as chairman for the past two years.
Brost is former president of the Missouri Optometric Association and is an optometrist with Brost & Associates Family Eye Care Center, having offices in Cape Girardeau, Perryville and Fredericktown.
Davis is a former board member for the Cape Girardeau School District and Chamber of Commerce in addition to being a member and past president of the Lions Club. Davis is a financial consultant for A.G. Edwards and Sons Inc.
Kinder is medical director of St. Francis Medical Center's Wound Healing Center. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and was associated with Cape Girardeau Surgical Clinic from 1966 to 1997.
Puckett joins Perryville construction company
James Puckett has joined Robinson Construction Co. in Perryville, Mo., as an estimator and cost engineer. Puckett will be responsible for estimating both public and private work and will serve as cost engineer on many additional projects.
Puckett brings 37 years of extensive construction experience to the company. He received a degree in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., in 1966; he is registered as a professional engineer in several states; and he holds several other engineering titles and affiliations.
Robinson Construction is a heavy construction contractor in Perryville. Established in 1946, Robinson serves local industry and municipalities on a variety of project, types, including industrial work, structural steel, concrete and design projects.
Edward Jones rep goes to training program
Juanita Penfield, the Cape Girardeau investment representative for the financial services firm Edward Jones, was one of the 28 representatives recently selected to attend one of the firm's advanced training programs in St. Louis.
The program is designed to sharpen business management skills and to expand knowledge of more complex investments.
Watson promoted at Union Planters
Doug Watson has been appointed the community bank president of the Cape Girardeau market, which includes 16 retail offices in Southeast Missouri.
Watson will report to Michael Ross, who is the regional president of the Missouri Banking Group, which includes St. Louis, Belleville, Columbia, Springfield and Cape Girardeau.
Watson began his banking career in 1977, most recently serving as community bank president of Bank of Missouri in Cape Girardeau since 1966. Before that, he was with Union Planters Bank in Sikeston.
Watson is a 1977 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and a 1991 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking.
Green joins Elan Day Spa as senior stylist
Jeff Green has joined Elan Day Spa as a senior stylist. Green has been styling hair for more than 20 years, specializing in hair color and cuts. Green has trained with Matrix's Paul Mitchell and most recently with Vidal Sassoon.
