Store manager named for Perryville Buchheit

John Sander has been promoted to the position of store manager of Buchheit at Perryville, Mo. Sander recently held the position of assistant store manager at the Buchheit of Jackson store. Sander has management experience in retail hardware, including 26 years as the owner/operator of the former Sander Tru Value Hardware store in Cape Girardeau.

Auctioneers association installs president-elect

Claueda Barks of Barks Auction Service LLC was installed as the president-elect of the Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association for 2004-2005 at the MPAA spring conference at the Lake of the Ozarks. Barks is the first female auctioneer to hold the office.

UPS honors driver for 30 years of service

David Cato, a driver in Cape Girardeau, was recently honored by UPS for completing 30 years of service with the company.

Dana employees celebrate anniversaries

Twenty-one employees of Dana Corp. are celebrating significant service anniversaries this quarter. Those celebrating 15 years with the company are: Art Didion, Beth James, Lance Tomlinson and Duane Welter, all of Cape Girardeau; Tracy Loughary, Erick Schoenberg and Chuck Thurman, all of Jackson; David Lukefahr of Burfordville; and Donnie Smith of McClure, Ill. Those with 10 years of service are: Ron Kemp and Elaine Walden of Cape Girardeau; Christina Miller of Scott City; Ron Rumohr and Troy Smith of Advance, Mo. Those celebrating five years with the company are: Jeff Barker and Aaron Wunderlich of Cape Girardeau; Clinton Hester of Chaffee, Mo.; Allan Knupp of Tamms, Ill.; Paul Miederhoff of Kelso, Mo., Chris VanGennip of Advance; and Steve Walton of Jackson.

RE/MAX agents receive awards for 2004 sales

Several associates with RE/MAX Achievers in Cape Girardeau recently won awards from RE/MAX International based on commissions earned in 2004. Mary Kistner received the President's Club Award. Cynthia F. Austin and Kerry Johnson received the 100 Percent Club Award. Janet Dalton-Harris and Karen Lewis received the Executive Club Award.

Big River Telephone adds five to staff

Cape Girardeau-based Big River Telephone recently hired five people. Raymond Nabors of Portageville, Mo., and Jeremy Bratton of Cape Girardeau also joined as network engineers. Matt Dockins of Poplar Bluff, Mo., joined the Internet technical support team. Michelle Otte of Jackson was hired as a billing analyst, and Rebecca Robbins of Cape Girardeau was hired as a customer service representative.
