Agent inducted into hall of fame in Nevada
Jane Clark of Century 21 Key Realty was inducted into the Century 21 Hall of Fame in Las Vegas at the MGM Century 21 Convention on March 7. There are only 37 members in the Hall of Fame and only two members from the St. Louis council, which covers most of five states. Those two members are Clark and Birdie Rader, who was elected in 1996. Both agents are from Century 21 Key Realty Co. The criteria to enter the Hall of Fame include community, church and civic contributions.
Saint Francis Medical Center has presented Dr. William D. Stahr with the Living Our Values Physician Award for excellence in patient care. Stahr, a clinical pathologist on staff at Saint Francis, was nominated for the award by a hospital patient who said Stahr provided needed emotional support to quell anxiety prior to a medical procedure. Additionally, Stahr demonstrated genuine concern for the patient's spouse and other family members, even leading them in prayer. Award recipients are nominated by patients, families, visitors and Medical Center employees for demonstrating extraordinary concern, going the extra mile, offering a suggestion to improve patient care or performing an action that enhances Saint Francis' public image.
Capaha Bank has hired Jay McManus as senior vice president and Illinois market manager. McManus will be at the Tamms, Ill., office and will supervise the Cairo and Anna branches. For the past 13 years McManus has served as president of First National Bank of Cairo. Capaha Bank is a locally owned, privately held bank that has offices in Tamms, Cairo and Anna in Illinois, as well as offices in Cape Girardeau and Jackson. The second Cape Girardeau location is scheduled to open at 380 N. Kingshighway this summer. The Jackson branch will relocate to 727 W. Main St. in the summer as well.
Montgomery Bank employees J.J. Schulz, Kyle Thompson, Linda Horrell and Susan Gentry presented "Money Matters" to students at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center on March 14. Money Matters is a teaching module from the FDIC's Money Smart program that educates young adults on financial education. The Money Matters module focuses on budgeting and how to keep track of spending habits.
