New Cape restaurant hires general manager
Olive Garden has appointed Jackson resident Troy Mool as general manager of the new restaurant at 3259 William St. in Cape Girardeau. The restaurant will open March 13. Mool brings 15 years of restaurant experience to the position. He has been with Olive Garden for more than four years, most recently serving as the culinary manager of an Olive Garden in Bloomington, Ill.
Miracle-Ear Centers in Cape Girardeau has announced the hiring of Kyle Griffin. Griffin is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. He attended Three Rivers Community College and has an information technology/ electronics degree from Poplar Bluff Vo-Tech. A graduate of the Miracle-Ear University Dispensing Program and a state-licensed hearing instrument dispenser, Griffin is also a member of the Missouri Hearing Society. He has relocated to Cape Girardeau. Griffin joins Joyce Hill Cooley in the Miracle-Ear office at 146 N. Kingshighway.
Cape Family Practice has chosen Rebecca Stefan with Forest Pharmaceuticals as the Drug Representative of the Year for 2005. The award is given to the representative who provides the most outstanding support and service to the patients and staff of Cape Family Practice. Stefan, of Herrin, Ill., has been with Forest for two years.
Capaha Bank has hired David Weston as vice president and mortgage lending manager. Weston will be at the new branch at 380 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, currently under construction. He will be working with mortgage originators and loan processors to increase the awareness of Capaha Bank in the mortgage arena. Although the new branch will not be completed until summer 2006, Weston will begin working with customers immediately. Weston graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in economics/finance. Weston has led mortgage teams at Household International, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Fieldstone Mortgage Co.
The Jana Jateff unit and the Sheri Dost unit with Mary Kay Cosmetics recently held a modeling contest. The winner, Shelli Reisinger, won a diamond-and-amethyst ring. First runner-up was Gayla Gunter. Second runner-up was Lois McFadden.
