Cape Girardeau physician elected to advisory board
Dr. Elizabeth J. Horton, a specialist in the neurological diseases of children, has been elected secretary of the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation of America, St. Louis Region. She has served on the board for four years. The Epilepsy Foundation of the St. Louis Region provides services to people with seizures, their families and the community in eastern and southern Missouri. Before becoming part of the Cape Girardeau medical community in 2000, Horton served as an assistant professor at the University of Southern California/Children's Hospital Los Angeles and at the University of California San Diego.
Big River Telephone of Cape Girardeau has announced the addition of two people to its staff. Stacey Johnson is an account executive for the Farmington, Mo., area. He will concentrate on managing the telecommunications provider's existing and expanding customer base in that market. Johnson has a bachelor's degree in business administration and experience in both sales and management in the Farmington area. John Cleary is an account executive for the St. Louis region. He has a master's degree in marketing and 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the telecommunications industry.
Commander Premier Aircraft Corp. has announced that Mark Standrich, owner of Mark's Commander Service and former lead mechanic and head of the Service Center for Commander Aircraft Co., will join CPAC Inc. in early February as director of CPAC's service center in Cape Girardeau. He will be responsible for all service center inspection and service operations and will also serve as lead mechanic for CPAC's assembly operations.
