Jason Bandermann has accomplished much in his 36 years, but especially since he has worked for the Saint Francis Healthcare System.
Bandermann, who signed on there in 2007, has served in a variety of roles, with the most recent being director of ambulatory services and administrator of the Physicians Alliance Surgery Center.
"My big thing to do in life is to serve," he says. "I think we were created to serve, not only our creator, but our fellow man."
He has an undergraduate degree in teaching and worked for a year as a math teacher at Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School before returning to school to earn a master's degree in business. From there, he worked for small businesses in the region until landing a marketing job at Saint Francis a few years later.
In 2009, Bandermann took on the additional role of managing Cape Diabetes & Endocrinology until 2012, when he stepped up as administrator at the Physicians Surgery Center and, in 2014, added director of ambulatory services to his growing resume.
He says one of his biggest accomplishments so far is integrating new affiliate medical practices into the Saint Francis system and its Christian principles.
"I've been able to be part of several of those affiliations," says Bandermann, who is an outdoors enthusiast outside of work.
In the past six years, he's competed in triathlons as well as three half-iron man races when not spending time with his wife and three small daughters.
In the next year, Bandermann says his major projects will be overseeing process improvements and helping optimize the new medical records system, EPIC, that Saint Francis launched July 1.
