D & D Transpoartation, 606 E. Main, owned by Dennis Davis of Jackson and Diane Lutes of Cape Girardeau, provides long and short hauls over the road truck transportation.

The new business, which has five trucks, provides employment to five workers and hauls products throughout the country.
Davis has been in the trucking business sine 1974, when he started as a driver. Lutes is new to the trucking business and will provide dispatching, billing, payroll and other management services.
Business hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
