NEW ON THE BUSINESS SCENE: NEW RYAN'S AT SIKESTON

Ryan's Steaks, Buffet & Bakery has opened at 1207 S. Main in Sikeston.

The 10,000-square-foot restaurant, which will seat between 390 and 400 people, is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Ryan's Steak House, a chain based in Greer, S.C., is a family-restaurant concept featuring a variety of menu items, including grilled steaks, chicken and seafood. It also offers an all-you-can-eat Mega Bar Buffet

Ryan's will provide about 150 new jobs -- full and part time -- to the community,

The Sikeston restaurant is being managed by a four-person management team, headed by general manager LeShawn McGrew. Other members of the management team are Tim Twit, Kirk Latimer and Brenda Pomeroy.

Ryan's, founded in 1977, has more than 250 restaurants in 21 states, including the Cape Girardeau restaurant, which opened in 1995.
