The previously all-wholesale operation has also added retail to its business, now at 1009 N. Kingshighway.
Jake Urhahn, who has been with Mid-America for more than 22 years, has purchased an interest in the company and is manager of the new operation.

"We look forward to serving the `do-it-yourself" customers as well as dealer and repair shops," said Urhahn. "We offer parts and supplies for most brands of outdoor power equipment."
The new store is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to noon Saturday.

Mid-America Distributing, formerly a wholesale firm, sells to dealers throughout Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri, western Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska and Iowa.
