JetPark, a new parking area near Lambert Field in St. Louis, provides 1,500 more parking spaces for air travelers who want to leave their cars while on trips.
Located on the south side of Interstate 70, the new Druco Inc. facility provides relief to the growing demand at the metropolitan airport.
JetPark, which opened recently, offers under-cover spaces for $9 a day -- $10 with valet parking -- and $7 for the uncovered spaces on the roof of the three-level garage.
JetPark boosts the number of spaces at major and private lots near Lambert by 11 percent.
This won't produce a glut of spaces.
The airport has only 6,000 parking spaces, while the major private parking operations have 8,300. As many as 20,000 parking spaces a day are needed.
Druco Inc. has a second parking operation, across the interstate from Lambert -- QuikPark, which has 835 spaces, and is full most days.
